The Autumn Light Collection reflects the warmth and beauty of the evolving autumn landscape in fullness of light and color.
The magnificent, sweeping, blue-and-yellow sky in Rising sets the scene for the glimmering water in the lower half of the piece. The sun at the surface of the lake signals daybreak, inspiring a cascade of pale yellow highlights across a sea of slate and powder blue, with hints of the orange and pink tones crowning the distant ruby treetops. Islands of shapely evergreens punctuate the piece, each revealing rippling shadows on the lake below. A grouping of stately trees join the viewer in the forefront, in red-and-olive color set aflame by the rising sun. Jagged rocks twinkle in warm sunlight and shadow.
