The acrylic paintings in the Open Air Collection were inspired by the expansiveness found in wide-open natural settings, and the ability of nature to calm and center us.
Perched at the edge of a rocky shoreline, “Good Fortune” offers a view of gorgeously calm water streaked in teals, lavenders, scarlets and golds to meet a softly sloping treeline. Framed with gold, coral, chartreuse and sage, the trees suggest a setting sun just behind them. Named for the “lucky me” feeling of good fortune when one finds themselves looking out on a stunningly glistening landscape on a calm, sunny day. Gold paint around the trees and reflected in the water changes with the angle of light.
