Glimmering captures the magic of a sparkling lake that reflects a stunningly colorful sky in pinks, periwinkles, golds, and celadon greens. Offset by the jagged rocks and voluminous trees of an island on the center left of the painting, the lower half of the piece features detailed white-and-gold highlights that capture the shimmering quality of a calm lake at daybreak.
