“Opening” was inspired by a glowing scene at the waters edge, painted at the cusp of winter as ice begins to form at the edges of a glistening pond. Twinkling water reflects the deep scarlets, rich evergreens, violets, and ultramarine blues of the trees above, framed in a border of gently sloping snow-covered ground in shadowy sage greens and periwinkles. A central, beaming sun sends rays of warmth across the water in orange and gold tones. Sweeping pastels in shades of yellow, green, orange and blue form the sky around the lineup of snow-blanketed trees.

Stretched canvas prints are created with a heavy cotton archival canvas that is hand stretched with a satin, low-glare finish
